EEK! Back to one of my favorite locations of all time; Leo Carillo Ranch! It’s the coolest spot because the amount of amazing backdrops is insane. Seriously I could probably do a 3 hour shoot here & never reuse a backdrop.

I’m not easy when it comes to locations. There are quite a few factors I have to take into consideration:

  1. There has to be good light for at least an hour. Meaning, trees to filter sunlight are definitely preferable (that’s how you get that delicious filtered backlight).

  2. There has to be enough unique backdrops to create a fun, diverse session. This spot has old wood buildings, bright blue doors, cactuses, eucalyptus trees, a wooden bridge, tons of benches and brick walls & the list goes on and on

  3. Parking should be fairly easy. This location has a pretty large lot, and even on event days I’ve had no problem parking here
