When I’ve photographed a family for a long time, there’s always a part of me that pictures them as I’m waiting for them to arrive… and I always picture the kids to be significantly younger than the kids that show up. It’s insane how fast these kids grow.

I’ve been photographing Caleb & his mom since he was 3 years old, which is my son’s age, which gives me ALL of the feels because I can really see just how fast it all goes by! Next year, I’m pretty sure he’ll be taller than his mom & I. He’s such a good sport & I love that we can get his silly side to show (it’s not hard) but we can also get some sweet, more serious expressions. And I love love love that his mom gets in the dang photo. MOMS. GET IN THE DANG PHOTO. (I know. I’m trying to follow my own advice & failing miserably here too). But it’s SO important.
